little surprises

Sometimes things happen, those little surprises that pop up now and again in life, and however trivial it may seem, you find yourself wondering if there really is something out there. Something greater... That makes you believe that life itself is not simply a mere existance...
On the flipside, is it just people are lucky and coincidence is simply the lucky person being at the right place at the right time?

I look towards the sky and wonder... if anything is out there looking right back at me...

Like every other Sunday for the last month or so, I drag myself out of bed to make it to work by 8am. Last Sunday was no different, but during the lunch shift I ended up looking after this asian couple. The husband asked me the typical aunty/uncle questions:
1. Where you from?
2. What you study?
3. How long have you been working here?
They were very nice and seemed unfazed by my awesome broken chinese during our polite chitchats, and when they left I thought it was the end. Lunch shift ended and in the evening one of my favourite supervisors took over. I mentioned to her that I missed working with her and to my surprise she asked me to work the night shift as well. I needed the money and have no life either so I did =P. Dinner was pretty crappy. We were a few men down and as I was busy scurrying from table to table I hear someone call my chinese name. Looking around, I see the couple again but this time they brought company. We didn't get to talk much since it was so busy, but lo and behold, I saw them again last night. This time the husband introduced me to his daughter... and the calibre or my chinese wasn't able to figure out how the guy stiiling with them was related to him, but he said son... so... maybe son-in-law? *sigh* epic fail... They weren't part of the tables I was serving though and it was so busy I wasn't able to serve them much even if i wanted to. It was getting late and before they were leaving the husband called me over to the table. He told me he had booked a room in the Holiday Inn but had to leave already but the official checkout time was 12 the next day, so if i wanted I could stay in there over night because the extra night was paid for (took me a while to understand what he was saying *sigh again*) but WHAT!??!?! That was unexpected O.o" I said no, but then wife joined in with the convincing so I gave in and took the room keys. I have to say it was awesome but weird at the same time? He gave me name and number just incase, and I admit I took delight in telling everyone I got picked up by an old guy and he wanted me to go to his room after work *wiggles eyebrows* hehehe... I did take him up on his offer though. I called a few of the workmates to join me for a few drinks up there until 3:30, when we were all getting super tired since a few of us only had 3 hours sleep the night before, including me =P They left and I decided to stay the night even though I still felt weird:
1. Im still P plater *le sigh*
2. FREE ROOM MAN!!!
3. I love hotel beds and pillows!
4. I was too tired to drive... and knowing me and my driving record...
5. Didnt want to trouble peoples to drive me home since they dont live that close to me
6. No one could stay the night with me cuz the bf has work so couldnt go, and the only other girl went home with her bf of course ="( oh welllllllllllll

All I can say is, good things really do happen when you least expect them to... hahaha... ^^"

Korean Food Night!!!

A few days ago, I decided to put my kimchi I bought a bazillion years ago to some use. So what better way, than to have a korean style dinner?!?! XD *YAY* I've been missing korean food so much (making AND eating) hehe... So on the menu was...

1. Entree: Chamchijeon (Tuna Pancakes)
The BIG one in the right corner was about the size of ur hand and is the bf's MAN PANCAKE *sigh* He thought he would show me how to cook a "REAL" pancake *rolls eyes* SIF!!! Although i must admit it turned out pretty well =P

2. Mains: Kimchi Fried Rice and Bokkeum Gochujang (Beef Stirfry with Gochujang Marinade)
I roasted the rice on the bottom of the pan to get it nice and crispy! I love the crunch which is why dolsot bibimbap is equally as awesome! X)
I felt like eating beef that day and i need to start using up my huge tube of gochujang in the fridge ^^" Turned out pretty well XD even tho the pic doesnt do it justice =P

3. Banchan (Sidedish): Blanched zucchini ribbons
Just a simple banchan i found in the Korean Cookbook Lisa Weesa and Bae Yong Jun gave me for my bday <3 By then we were too full for dessert *sadface* but i think we did pretty well since nothing exploded or got burnt XD *YAY*

I feel sowwie for my bank account... it has taken a beating for some time... *sigh* but... Guess where im off to in August... or 2 weeks later when i get back from banging-kok =P

Im off to melbourne to see David Copperfield!!! I LOVE MAGIC/ILLUSIONS!!! It captivated me from very young... *sigh* my dream job!!! ITS GONNA BE TOTALLY AWESOME!!! U noe who else is awesome? For some strange reason... I reckon Criss Angel is HAWT O.o" hehe... Maybe it's my penchant for guys with magic hands... tee hee hee

So it has been a while since I abandoned my poor blog all those many many months ago =( I had a post about my korea trip lined up when I got back but after a series of unfortunate events mixed in with my laziness, it all seems so irrelevant now =P Seeing as it's exam time right now, I guess it's time to get back into the game... of procrastinating... X)

So a few days ago I rounded up the bunnies, buckled up the lil bro, the bf and his dog Kobe, and drove to the park near my house. I felt bad for not being able to let muffin and cupcake run around the garden cuz they'd run into the bushes and never come back and I'd cry so... I had a lightbulb moment! I remembered there was actually a fenced off area at the park near my house so destination unknown became destination KNOWN!!! *ZING* Unfortunately... I soon found out that the fence had spaces large enough at the bottom that the bunnies could fit through so I just let them run around in the sandpit and when they strayed to close to freedom i gots the doggie to round 'em up back to the sandpit LOL! How awesome! XD Anihoos muffin being a muffin just lay in the sandpit most of the time... *sigh* he's so fat he looks like a loaf of bread!!! But atleast cupcake took advantage of the space and ran around... like the determined bossy boots she is =P

Quick goodbye and hello =)

Hi everyone!!! long time no blog eh? This is just a quick goodbye to everyone!!! i ran out of credit 2 days before leaving and i thought there wuld be no point buying credit until i get back aniways =P So be good while im gone pplz!!! I will miss you all dearly my darlings!!! T_T Im at Changi airport in Sg right now, gotta be quick since i only get 15 mins on the comp!!! ARGH!!! so i think i did pretty well, im still alive =D made my way from the budget terminal (looks like $#!T btw) to terminal 1... sucks cuz terminals 2 and 3 have the awesome stuff =P almost forgot to bring my suitcase with me while i was walking away from a cafe ^^" but that was about it heheheh im off to KL in an hrs time so must get through all the duty free shops before i leave! XD Im off to korea on the 6th of Feb! A LIL bit worried... about my ass getting frozen off O_o" anihoos i hope you guys arent partying too hard without me!!! have fun guys!!! see you all again in like 2 weeks =D

2 - 0 - 0 - 9, Let the good times begin!!!

Not much celebration for me since I was working new years eve and celebrations at atrium continued into the new year, but all was not lost!!! For i did enter it in style!!! The soaking-wet-in-champagne kind. The guys had bottles ready and poised during the count down and let loose on everyone standing closeby, and hey, sharing is caring so i poured some on their heads for revenge *smirks* then we resorted to throwing chanpagne in left over glasses in each others faces, which was fine until it went in our eyes O_o" burns i tells ya! keke... Then ran around all of atrium finding all my workmates and giving them a warm champagne hug X) Then had a champagne throwing session with aileen in the kitchen and when we ran out of that, we resorted to jugs of water HAhA and i ran out the kitchen before she could get me but slipped and fell on my ass. Everyone had a good laugh *pouts* but it was gross cuz the carpet JUST outside the kitchen is FILTHY and since it got wet, when i stood up my hands were all black and slimy and later i found out the crap soaked through my pants into my underwear making it black too!!! (too much info guys? ^^") So for guys who stayed dry, like ken, i couldnt let that happen! So on the champagne went! I started a war and it resulted in coke getting poured in my hair and sprite being flung at ken and jacky *evil cackles* I felt sorry for the cleaners who had to clean up the mess we made in the kitchen!!! Drank champagne and white wine secretly with aileen, june and jm and the bar guys got drunk out back. Was pretty hilarious!!! You see all of them come out from the back with BRIGHT RED faces hahaha typical asians X) Congrats to justin who got off his face on just one bottle of cider!!! AHhAhA!!! Was a fun and sticky night! Had a good time =D Went to Kenny and Junes house after to drink with some other workmates and slept over since im still on mah P's =P Im glad 2008 was over. It was a year filled with a lot of bad luck. Im hopeful that 2009 shall lead me to brighter days =)

On another note, I went to Summa Dayze yesterday!!! My first rave!!! Started from 12 midday until 10 at night but i got there at almost 4, so just in time to see AVB get on stage *YAY* and stayed til the end. Pretty awesome tho had a gooddddddddddd timeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I didnt expect it to be so FREEKING MASSIVE!!! There were 2 stages and 2 tents all going off. Got to see Armin van Buuren (world no. 1 DJ i fink?), Calvin Harris, Ferry Corsten and Underworld. Got to see A LOT of tattoos, skanky chicks and fat hairy people. Underworld performed last on the main stage, and in the last couple of songs they inflated these huge tube things that changed colour and kept bending and going straight again (hard to explain) and the lat song was awesome since HEAPS of GINORMOUS white balloons got released into the crowd, like bigger than 1m in diameter!!! I REALLY REALLY REALLYYYY wanted to hit one, but everytime one got close people jumped before i could get it, but eventually one came my way again and i got to hit it!!! YEH BITCH!!! Random thing happened when i went to get some food. Got some satays and i was holding them and walking and i see this hand reach over the back of my shoulder and grab one, and i thought it was my friend so i didnt react. Turned around to realise was some gay ass bogan dude and my friend says WTF to him and fully starts giving him the evils. We walked into the chillout tent to look for people but saw they were outside already,and guess who we saw again? I was eating a satay and when i saw the prick i quickly ate it finished and slipped the stick in his back pocket. Thought about flicking satay sauce on him but im not that gangster, but DAMNNNNNNNNNNNN felt so goodddddddddddddd!!! >=) Yup, good times, good times X)

YEH MAN!!! im tokin about ME!!! *evil cackle* so in the last fortnight, I made 3000 DOLLARS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!! 130 hrs of work *dies* but 1000 of my babies went to TAX!!! ARGH!!! LAMEEEEEEE!!! =P Today i worked 13 hrs from 8am to 12 midnight and since its public holiday, $520 in ONE DAY!!! YEH BITCH!!! *does pelvic thrust* the day before i got a 20 dollar tip, and today i got 30!!! YEH MANNNNN!!! Im on a ROLLLLLL~~~ flashing ur boobs really does help JKING!!! *hert hert* ^^" Anihoos life has been revolving around work and sleep hence i have nothing else to blog about =P When i have reached my 4k korea spending money target life shall resume as per normal X) but for now... it time to get another 5-6 hrs sleep and off to work a triple shift again *crawls into bed*
